A video installation that focuses on the balance of nature and the role of insects in this context: Can we or do we want to revive extinct species? What would happen by doing so?
The majority of life on earth—the number of species and individuals—are insects. We’ve only discovered a minute proportion of all insect species that exist. Many have even become extinct before discovery of them.
There are multiple indications that the number of insects is decreasing globally. We don’t know what effect this will ultimately have on mankind and nature. One thing is for sure: Our lives and theirs are inextricably connected.
This installation can be arranged as projections, the sequences shown in the form of video loops that last four to eight minutes.
